FORGET

เป็นอีกคำนึงที่เห็นว่าอาจจะต้องใช้กันบ่อยๆ ค่ะ เลยหยิบยกประโยคตัวอย่างจากคุณ Longman มาให้จำๆ กันไว้ ดังนี้ค่ะ

* Forget about
เช่น - Karl says he forgot about our date.
- She forgot all about their anniversary.
* Forget (that)
เช่น - I forgot that there's a speed limit here

** also forget that! American English used to tell someone that you refuse to do something or that it will be impossible to do something
เช่น - 'Can you lend me $10.' 'Forget it, no way.'
- If you're thinking of getting Roy to help, you can forget it!

* forget how/what/when/why etc
เช่น - How can you forget where you've parked the car?
- He's someone who never forgets a face (=forgets who someone is).

**forget to do something**
เช่น - Pornatcha forgot to do the homework last week.
- Someone's forgotten to turn off their headlights.

และ Forget it! ใช้เมื่อ someone asks you what you just said and you do not want to repeat it
ตัวอย่างเช่น 'What did you say?' ' Nothing, just forget it.'
